It's In The Air

You can almost smell it.
Not autumn on it's way in, school starting back up, or even football season beginning.
Oscar season.
In the next several months you will be seeing the trailers, advertisements, for your consideration banners, and countless other smaller, precursor awards for films by the likes of Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Rob Marshall, Sam Mendes, David Cronenberg, Roman Polanski, Cameron Crowe, Terrence Malick, Ang Lee, Steven Gaghan, James Mangold, Steve Zallian, and George Clooney. You'll see everything from marines to the CIA, Johnny Cash to Edward R. Murrow, and gay cowboys to giant apes.
Every picture jockeying for the best position, trying to compile their strategy. The competition will be fierce as we draw closer to the finish line, on March 5th, 2006. It'll be a horse race until the very end.
I'll be posting my film commentaries and reviews, as always, as soon as I see them. You can also expect various articles, and columns throughout the next few months, providing analysis, predictions, and opinions. You'll probably even see some FYC's.
Enjoy. And, let the golden season begin.
